Finding the Perfect Diet
People who specialize in nutrition all say that it all comes down to what you eat. In those foods they say to stay away from fat. But it turns out fat is not all bad it just depends on how much you consume with how much exercise you get. Other people say that foods high in cholesterol do not raise the cholesterol, and I have no clue why that works the way it does. My opinion on this is that I can eat as much as I want of whatever I want as long as I exercise and stay healthy I won't get a heart disease or get fat. My opinion is based off of a study done earlier in the US where the government banned fats from peoples diet and no one got any healthier so eating or not eating fats isn't making americans fat. So in conclusion you will not get fat or die of heart attack if you eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly.

Bloody Sunday
So from my understandings this is the anniversary of people who marched against segregation and equal right for blacks and whites. My opinion on the whole issue is that we should just live in the present and forget about the past because it seems that every time that something like this happens the two races start fighting over nothing. Because the blacks have equal rights but it seems that they like to find something to cry about constantly. I also believe that the only reason that this march has to take place again this year because our president just happens to be black. Im still confused how simply crossing a bridge can solve the issue of peace between two races. Its also ironic because the bridge involved is named after a man who used to run the KKK. And from the looks of this place now a days they aren't segregated so why will they ever change. The people trying are wasting their time.

Net Neutrality
Ok so I give the people who want to put up like tolls for the internet credit. Thats a smart move that can make money but looking at it from the peoples view thats a bunch of crap. I believe the internet should have no fast lane and be a public utility. I don't understand why you would want to change it anyway it benefits every one. If you change it it will hurt everyone. So my opinion is that the people of america should fight people trying to change the internet because this resource needs to be preserved, protected, and free to the people. Sorry about the word count this isnt much of a blog.

Sale of Military Drones to Allies
First thing first is I think this is a very smart move because we get cash from selling them yet we have security on them that lets us see what they see so they can't get rid of them the terrorists. We make sure that the buyers are well known allies so they don't fall into the wrong hands. Also I think that who ever created the unmanned drone that can also attack is a genius. He has saved so many lives where the drone is replaceable a mans life isn't. In this article it also talks about everything the US sells the allies and we pretty much sell anything if you got the money which is bad if any of our allies decide to turn against us. So in conclusion I just want to say one thing I would add to the drones we should add a self destruct feature to blow up in the faces of people if they fall into the wrong hands.

How We Ruin the Ocean
So the ocean is full of life everywhere. Most of it is still undiscovered. And if we continue to pollute the air and land global warming will get worse and the water temperature will change and kill all sorts of kinds of fish. It is also killing the life of the coral reef changing it from vibrant beautiful colors to grey and lifeless. The water warming up is killing the fish but they keep migrating to cooler waters where they have to compete with more fish for food and shelter. The water temp going up isn't the only thing killing stuff the ocean is also full of plastic pieces that are being ate by fish and then by people. Which isn't good for you at all. My opinion is that we should set up crews of people netting plastic out of the ocean. It will help the ocean by getting plastic out and help people by giving them jobs. And if you happen to net and wildlife just release them back into the blue. Another problem is fishermen are over fishing that in end are killing off certain species we eat. I think we can solve this by increasing the staff of the coast guard to keep people in line. And last thing is that fish now a days isn't as healthy as it seems. I will explain that by saying that all the changes global warming are doing to the fish are increasing their mercury levels and we eat them increasing ours and too much is deadly. So fish isn't as good for you as you think.

CIA torture report
So the first page of this article is just a list of supposed wrongs the CIA had done. I think is is extremely hard to write anything about it but ill think of something. Well all it talks about is how inhumane and bad the CIA interrogations were. But I think that they worked pretty darn good because if someone would torture me i would tell them what they wanted to know. So through my eyes they were getting stuff done. I dont think that anyone who did something bad enough to get into the CIA prison that they probably deserve to be tortured some. Another thing that confuses me is that the US government released the torture report that makes us look bad. You would think they might wanna hide it to make USA look better. Releasing that report was a stupid thing to do because now when Americans are taken prisoner in foreign places they will be tortured. But regardless of what is out the people of America think that all the bad news needs released to the public to know. Which I think is dumb just let the people live their fake happy lives and not have to worry about the bad stuff happening around them.

Our Aging Nuclear Arsenal

This article talks about how our country's nuclear weapons and storage facilities are old. So old that they are a danger to us. It also says that, "the people guarding the stock pile of weapons are plagued by scandals" (The Week 1). The storage facilities are so old that the blast doors wont even seal because of rust. I think that all of these places need to be repaired and actually guarded by people there to do there job. I understand that the job sucks but someone has to do it. And it says that we are receiving funds over a five year period to upgrade and improve everything that is going on. So when you think of this it is a never ending process of getting rid of old and replacing with new.

The History of Cuba and the US

So cuba got somewhat freed from spain. The whole reason they did was because of the US. And once they got free we kept them up and operating by having a military base there and spending a lot of money there. The island was a very popular spot that americas mobsters liked to hangout and gamble. In fact they practically ran the place for a while. Then they got overtook by dictators. That took all of the peoples rights. And ran the economy into the ground. They also hated america. This led to castro having the soviet union place missile silos facing florida. We took action and was willing to fight over this but they took them down quickly. Castro was a dictator over cuba for 10 presidential terms. That is a crazy long time to hurt one place. Spite the US trying to kill him dozens of times they had none successful. And he ended up stepping down because of illness.

Supreme court Deciding on Gay marriage

Well I dont agree with gay marriage and I think it is wrong. Also under the 14th amendment marriage isnt even listed so gay marriage would definitely not be there.  I dont care who I upset with saying it but gays are wrong and sick. Its adam and eve not adam and steve. I believe that this decision should be up to the state not to the the supreme court because they may not want it but the case could win in court and thats wrong. I think that america should be like it was in the old days where it was just traditional marriage and gays were outcasts. Its not a right or in our nations history so I say kill the gays or send them way they are not welcome here. They just need to see the big picture and relize there are no right to gay marriage so they just need to get lost.

Ok so what I am getting from this is that 3 guys stormed into a magazine publishing place in Paris and shot and killed 10 people and 2 cops to then getaway in a car. And that it wasn't the first time this place was attacked. You would think that some people would learn but I guess not. I kinda understand where some people are coming from when they say freedom of speech and the terrorists really should understand that they are just messing around no matter what they are making fun of. Also they writers should have know that they are messing with a hostile group of people that don't care about laws. So when it comes down to it the writers got off lucky because a lot more people could have been killed. The last thing I'm gonna rant about is that what are the terrorists even trying to accomplish they killed people for talking bad about them or their faith they can't stop teasing or being provocative. They just wanted a reason to rebel and fight.

Eating too Much Added Sugar May be Killing you

In this article people, professors, and health experts go in depth in what happens or can happen to you if you consume too much added sugar on a daily basis. They stated that your risk of dying increases exponentially with the more added sugar you eat. I thought this always was a problem, but they are making it out to be that the people now are so fat and lazy that we are bound to die off soon. My personal opinion on the subject is that we are our own person and no one can tell us what to eat or not eat and that the generations before us did the same thing and they ended up fine. It doesn't matter what you eat or how much as long as you balance it with at least some physical activity or work it off another way. And these people say that added sugars are only in things not natural but the way I look at it sugar is sugar not matter how you say it or add it. And they got their results from a survey a survey for Christ's sake how many people really enjoy to sit down and take an honest survey. I'm not one of those people. They also list all the heart diseases that you can get from consuming too much sugars but all of them are treatable so you can be saved even if you do have that particular disease. And in end they say drinking sweetened beverages do not cause heart disease and that is exactly right. That line is the only truth in the whole article.

well talking about concussions. I knew it was a pretty common thing it the sport of football but the numbers this tells you is alot. And it says that the players returned after 2 weeks. Im not a doctor but something tells me that if your brain bounces off the side of your skull that your gonna need more then 2 weeks to fully recover from that. It also stated the 17 people have died from it. All high school players this is kinda sad but I think that only 17 is a good statistic out of all the players that receive concussions. I think that more precaution should be taken when it comes to protecting players and treating them. This could save the lives of the 17 and help prevent other concussions from happening. This paper also states that to be released the person must be symptom free for 7 days. What even are the symptoms of a concussion. I dont have a clue. But I do think that the time to wait should be pushed back way more with kids that brains are still maturing. So that they dont get hurt worse and end up ruining the rest of their lives. And now im gonna give you my opinion on coaches that want to win even tho it comes down to putting a hurt kid back into the game hurting him even worse even death. This just is crazy and I know that it is different in some people than others but I think that when it comes down to a decision like that the kids parents and athletic trainer should make the choice not the coach. Because most are hungry for the win and would do anything to get that.

Ok this person talks about how they are stressed for their students. I believe him but there are alot of teachers who just want to get the paycheck and could care less if the kids are making it through school. They say that you aren't coming to school to learn it is to learn how to survive life when the going gets tough. And that school may seem difficult but when it comes to reality it is easy and you with you could go back. And that you are just quitting when you dont do anything or when you skipclass or dont pay any attention. And this is so true doing this is getting you nowhere and is only hurting you so you need to buckle down and do what you need to do. So you can make it through school with no troubles and start you life out ahead. And we need more teaches that will push kids that get lazy and dont do what there supposed to do to straighten out because they are just hurting themselves when they dont do these in school. This article really inspires me to do better in school because I want to succeed and have a good time to but it all comes down to your future and your really hurting it when you quit and get lazy.

So the election just happened. And everyone is talking about what should have passed and what didnt I could care less really. Maybe it will came to me when I am old enough to vote but not now. i think this article of the week is really stupid and boring. All it talks about is the politicians campaigning and what there are doing so that more people see their ads to vote for them. I think it is really smart of them to go to social media with all the people that are on it. That is genius I dont know why they didnt think of this earlier. That is a sure fire way to get more votes.

Rise of the Machines
I think it is extremely stupid of someone to want a machine to be smarter than humans that just makes no sense to me. I believe that if the machine is smarter than humans they would want to wipe humans off the face of the earth so they could be the top of the food chain. I see the movie terminator when I picture machines rising over humans. People keep saying that this is a real possibility of happening soon and too be honest I'm kinda scared.  don't want a machine wanting to kill me and to be smarter than me. They are just supposed to make life easier and to be tools. So if you ask me super intelligence is a curse. I kinda hope there are some people like me out there so this doesn't end up happening. I have heard that some computers are already smart like they can win chess games and I don't even know how to play. I heard of one experiment were the robots actually learned and there are not programmed that way so they can actually adapt.

poetry reflection

So I m not a big fan of this whole poetry thing. It all just confuses me. Like I m just trying to read this id like to understand it. If they want to write in code then why not use morse code instead of peotry.  But all of the teachers of english just ram it down my throat. It is kinda interesting how they can express how they feel with so little words and not even say a thing about how they feel. That interests me but it is so hard for me to dissect a poem and get what the person is trying to say or express. I mean I can learn it but it is painful for me and I take my time. I cant say I have a favorite poem but I do hate some for example any of Shakespeare's work drives me nuts because I have to physically sit down and think what is he trying to say here or have someone explain it to me. He also uses big, old words that my brain cant even begin to understand so I have to look through a dictionary for like hours trying to find words and I typically never do. Another thing that absolutely kills me is when I have to write them its like my brain goes blank and so does my paper. So this is my opinion on poetry. I could care less if you like it or not.

this weeks AOW states that people are the cause of animal and plant mass extinction. The first thing that ticks me off is that they start rambling things off like there all facts when Im not even sure how they could know some of these things. They werent alive when this stuff happened so how do they know so they must not. According to these scientists people are the cause of everything that hurts plants and animals. I think not they thrive when we are around and thrive when were not. This all doesnt just bounce back on society in general some people like poachers and people who break laws over fishing and things like that are at fault and need to be brought to justice and punished. They think that there is going to be another mass extinction and i think that theyre crazy. Mass extinctions to me are just natural disasters so there is no way people can cause them.

Hong Kong's thwarted Democracy

First of all I think that is is cool how london beat the chinese and made them give up the island of hong kong to them and they kept it for 99 years. And from the sound of the way the chinese are acting about them being a democracy I think that they should have kept it. And I don't know what it is about foreign leaders but it seems that they all want communism. They act like they are all starving for power and they have to have more, more, and more. It really confuses me. From the sounds of how they are trying to convert the people and place back to the way it was before, I think that london or someone needs to stick their nose in and fight with the people there and get the peoples way for once.  If they think that converting back to communism doesn't make them look like iran or north korea they are crazy because there is no difference in them. I really hope all the protesting and fighting the people do pays off because they deserve to have a choice, not to do what ever the big power hungry dictator tells them to do.

Stand Up For Your Health
So apparently we are a stand up species but now a days everything requires us to sit down. We do it everywhere we go. With everything we do. And it is said to be making americans fat. They say long sedentary behavior causing things like poor health and heart disease. They also have national statistics proving that people who sit more are higher at risk to get certain diseases. People say that every hour people sit is linked to a drop in their fitness level. the human body is designed to move so we need to do just that. Sitting down slows down your whole system that helps you lose weight. But you don't have to just exercise anytime your body is moving and active it helps. There is a stat that says a person only burns 300 neat calories at a desk job but a waiter burns almost 1300 neat calories. So if you just stand more instead of sit you burn more calories and lose more weight.

Okay now lets talk about Ebola. There are nearly 6000 people infected now and the number is rising as we speak. It originated from the Ebola river and that's how it got it's name.Scientists say that animals had it first but they gave it to people who came in contact with their blood or bodily fluids. The symptoms of this are fever, muscle aches, weakness, sore throat, and headache followed by vomiting, diarrhea, rash, and internal bleeding. They say there have been a number of outbreaks since 1976 but if it has been around for that long then why don't we have a cure yet. I think I share the same view as other people when I say that I am kinda scared it will infect america. I mean Americans are dirty and lazy this virus could spread and we could have a pandemic on our hands. There are reported cases of Americans getting the virus, "One of the Americans died, but the other two aid workers were flown to the CDC for treatment" (Bennett 1). We really shouldn't worry much about it though because it is more likely to spread in poor countries with no clean water or proper health care system. I think that we should get every one we can to get involved in this. This virus needs stomped out. And I think that the more countries you involve the faster it can happen.
